About this Cook
I'm 40 years old, married and a mother of 2 grandmother of 1. Love to cook and create scrumptious meals. Usually willing to try new things and my husband makes a great taste tester. He eats everything I cook, without complaints.
My favorite things to cook
Dinners. I love to plan and prepare the whole thing beginning to end. Don't really care to entertain in my home but I love to bring my dishes to someone else's.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday pot lucks. I was always the Jello and Bread person when it came to family parties. Now living in Florida, we have no family here so I hope eventually I will take on a roll when invited to friends houses and Church.
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered Jello and Bread. I am able to commit many favorite recipes to memory so when I am with out Allrecipes or my cookbooks I can still whip up good cooking.
My cooking tragedies
Cakes from scratch. I made one of my husbands old family tradition cakes for his birthday one year. It had 4 layers with cream in the middle of each, then covered with chocolate fudge. The cream was to gritty and the Fudge ended up covering the porcelin counter top rather than the cake. After several hours of attempted reconstruction and more fudge, I decided to never try it again. (Still have the recipe, Mabey someday.)
