About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom of the sweetest baby boy. He is leaning to do things like rolling over and I'm learning what it is like to have to wake up in the middle of the night and how to change lots of diapers. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who helps out a lot and doesn't mind me cooking new things, even when they don't turn out.
My favorite things to cook
i love cooking breads because it is a wonderful stress relife. I also love to cook Chinse food. My husband lived in Taiwan for two years so anytime I cook something that is close to the food from there it makes him happy, which makes me happy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chocolate chip cookies on the First day of school. The Best!!!!!!!!
My cooking triumphs
I have learned to make chinse dumplings that are so yummy! My husband says they taste just like the ones in Taiwan and they are fast becoming one of my favorite foods.
My cooking tragedies
I am always changing the what I put in my recipes. I am getting to be pretty good at it. But before, AHHHH!!!! I have made lots of things that are hard to eat because the are so YUCKY!!!

Apple Walnut Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette
This was pretty good. I found the mustard in the dressing didn't really fit in with the apples and I also used less onions. I also added some swiss cheese and crasins to the salad. I'll make this again, just without the mustard.

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole
Wonderful recipe!! I left out the mushrooms (yucko!!) and added the chicken broth like other suggested and it turned out great! Can't wait to try with some sausage!
