About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful guy who never hesitates to try my new cooking experiements. He has taught me the love of gardening and planted me a HUGE herb garden!! I'm a SAHW who loves rubber stamping. I'm a demo for The Angel Company and a very addicted member to Splitcoaststampers! I also love photography, reading a ton of books and watching movies!!
My favorite things to cook
Breads, Breads and more Breads!!!! I love the smell of fresh baking bread! YUM. I love to cook everything and I always look forward to trying out new recipes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make Christmas cookies. My mom let me take over that role when I was in high school and I got addicted fast! I have several favorites that I make every year, but I always pick out a few new ones to try out on my family!
My cooking triumphs
Making Thanksgiving dinner for our entire family for the past few years! It is a huge chore, but I love doing it!!! My husband and I make everything..the turkey, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, broccoli rice casserole, cranberries, pies, etc. I love being able to take that role over for my mom and allowing her to enjoy the holiday for once!
My cooking tragedies
I'm scarred for life! I made lemon bars one afternoon and they totally didn't turn out right. It was the first thing I ever messed up on and I haven't had the courage to go back and try them again!!

Deviled Eggs II
This was a good base recipe to start with. I used more mayonnaise and mustard, omitted the vinegar and instead added a little pickle juice!

Banana Crumb Muffins
These turned out perfect!!! The muffin was extremely moist and the topping was fabulous. It wasn't too sweet and I love the little extra crunch it gives. I will definitely makes these again!

BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
This was really good. I increased the serving size to 16 people since I made it for my husband to take to a pot luck lunch at work. I ended up boiling and shredding the chicken the night before. I combined the chopped onion and celery with the chicken and put it in the fridge overnight. The next morning we combined everything in a crockpot. So when he got to work, he just turned it on low and let it simmer for 4 hours. Everyone loved it and said that it smelled wonderful hours before lunchtime!
