Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
Very quick and easy and yummy! I spread a little butter and sprinkled a little onion powder on the bread and toasted them under the broiler. I did everything else as written except used the broiler instead of the oven.

Barbecued Ham Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
This was pretty tasty. It reminded me of Arbys. I made the recipe exactly as written and I toasted the buns a little and poured a little extra sauce over the ham. I wont pour the extra sauce over next time because it made it really messy.

Ham and Pineapple Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I have to say that I really liked these! I did use regular cream cheese and just put the pineapple on top of it, didnt mix it in. I think using pineapple cream cheese would be too much. And make sure you really drain your pineapple. Very yummy!

Egg Drop Soup (Better than Restaurant Quality!)

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
This was so easy to make. I had never had egg drop soup and it was good. I didnt use the cornstarch or food coloring and I used green onion instead of chives.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
This was the first time I have ever made doughnuts and they turned out great. I halved the recipe, used butter instead of shortening and used rapid rise yeast so we wouldnt have to wait forever to eat these for breakfast. It worked wonderfully and we did some with just glaze, some with chocolate, and some with chocolate and sprinkles. The kids loved them.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I made this tonight with dinner. The flavor was awesome. I had cream, but turned out it was curdled, so I had to use 2% milk. I also used the shredded parmesan and I added a little garlic powder. The parmesan clumped together a bit and I added it slowly, 1/4 cup at a time. And it was a little thin, but I'm sure thats because I used milk. Very yummy though.

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
These were really good and soooo easy. The only changes I made were that I drizzled a little olive oil on top and after they were done in the oven I put them under the broiler for a few minutes to get crispy.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This was good. After I started making it I realized that I didnt have as much butterscotch chips as I thought so I put in some chocolate chips to make up for it. I did cut the sugar by half, which I think would be good if I used all butterscotch chips, but since I didnt I think I couldve used more sugar. It was really good though. We had it with ice cream. I just finished eating some cold too and it was yummy.

Meringue Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
Ok, I made these today except I just made the actual meringue part of the recipe so I didn't make them into mushrooms. This was the first time that I have ever made meringues and these turned out great and were very easy to make. I'm sorry I didnt do the full recipe, but since it was my first time doing meringue I wanted to use a recipe that was 5 stars and I thought Id start with the basics. I will try the full recipe soon though. Thanks.

Peanut Rice

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
I actually just ate this for a light dinner. It was very good, I did make a few changes though. I used some leftover Brazilian White Rice from this site (which I did make with white basmati rice). Also, I didnt have any tumeric, and I added a splash of soy sauce. And I chopped the peanuts pretty finely. It was very good. I'll have to get some tumeric so I can try is as is :)

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
Ok this was sooo yummy! The only changes I made were that I ran out of sugar and had to use 1/4 brown sugar, which was pretty good. I did follow other reviewers advice and cream the butter and sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla, then I just dumped in the rest. I think the butter sauce recipe is enough as is, doubled would be too much. I know I'll be making this again, I loved it!

Cheddar Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
This was pretty good. I only had 1 cup of chicken so I added about a cup of frozen mixed veggies. I also added a little parmesan to the mix and some garlic powder. Still a little bit bland, could use some more salt. Good easy dinner though!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

This was really good! The only changes I made were that I halved it and only made one loaf, and I used a little less honey. A very good bread, I'll probably use this recipe from now on for my wheat bread!

Brazilian White Rice

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
This was good. I dont know why mine turned brown, but it might be because I burnt the garlic a little since I was trying to do two things at once and not doing a very good job at it! It still tuned out good and was delicious with the Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken from this site. I definitely will make this again and next time it will be white! I'll post another picture when I make it next!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
This was really good! The only changes that I made were that I omitted the cayenne (dont like spicy), didn't have any parsley, and used lemon juice because thats all I had. Oh, and I pounded the chicken. Very yummy. Served this with the Brazilian White Rice from this site and the rice was so good with the sauce from this. I will definitely make this again!

Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom, Bacon, and Onion

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
These were great! I didn't have any mushrooms, but I used extra onion and bacon, plus a little extra ranch. I cooked to onion in the bacon grease and really carmelized them. Very good, but next time I'm going to follow the recipe exactly because I love mushrooms and I know it'll be even better!
