Cajun Chicken Pasta

Cream flavor was*very* strong. We ended up adding significantly more Cajun spices, pepper, and salt to compensate. All in all, quick and satisfying dinner!!

Baked Pork Spring Rolls

The spring rolls were crisp and crunchy - just the way I like it, but the insides lacked flavor and were too dense. I modified the recipe somewhat so I can't say if my disappointment was a result of my changes or the recipe. I will make these again and use chicken instead of shrimp, and less cabbage.

Ham and Bean Soup

This soup was way easier than the traditional bean soup, and it showed. My veggies were crunchy and the flavor of the soup was not well blended. I ended up adding two TBSP of garlic to offset odd flavor and still wasn't very happy with the dish. Three stars because it's easy, but I wouldn't make it again.

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

Green color was a bit of a turn-off. Taste was strong and not to most of my family's liking. I would reccomend using mayonnaise and not miracle whip with this recipe.

Crab Cakes III

These crab cakes were awesome! I halved the batch and did half of that with canned crab and half with lump crabmeat from the seafood counter at my local store - the lump crabmeat was WAY better!! I would've given this recipe five stars except that none of my family liked the accomanying sauce - it was much too lime-y for our tastes. Crab cakes tasted fine on their own though :) Two thumbs up!

Chocolate Spoons

I held a holiday food craft party for a group of friends and these easy-to-make spoons were the hit of the party! So easy, and so rewarding - I highly reccommend. One tip: we lined the spoons on a baking pan layered with wax paper and after the first coat of chocolate, we put the pan in the freezer for 10 mintues. This allowed the chocolate to become firm before adding another layer and gave our spoons a really nice look.

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

I am giving this recipe three stars because my boyfriend and I made it incorrectly, but I still thought it was horrible. I just could not get over the flavor of the pineapple with the ground beef. This recipe is not for me.

I make this dish often but I only gave it 4 stars because I modify it slightly by adding 1 Tsp Old Bay Seasoning to really give that crab tastse a kick. Everyone loves this dip!!

Creme Brulee French Toast

I have made this dish several times and every time it is a huge hit! Word to the wise - no matter how much your guests insist that they want the recipie for this dish, do not tell them what's in it while they're still eating it - the thought of consuming that many calories is enough to ruin many an appetite.

Apple Breakfast Bread

I made this recipe twice. The first time I followed it exactly with white sugar and baked it for the full hour. My bread was great, but a little burnt on the bottom. The second time I substituted half of the white sugar with brown sugar and reduced the bake time to 45 minutes. It was just perfect!!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

I made this dish with all hot sausage and sherry and served it over angel hair pasta. This was honestly the first time in four years that I made a dish both my Italian loving boyfriend and fried food loving me actually enjoyed! This dish was great!!
