Fast Chicken Soup Base

This is a great base and never fails me. It's quick easy and once you add your favorite chicken soup ingredients its terrific. I always use garlic, 1tbls. and add alot of celery, onions, and carrotts with just a small amount of white rice. I only use low fat boullion (no water) and it comes out great every time. Good for what ails you old fashion chicken soup!

The Best Lemon Bars

I made these as written. I did however bake them in sprayed tin foil which made them easier to lift out of the pan. My family loved these. Just the taste I was looking for. Next time I will bake in a slightly smaller pan 8 x 11 to make the lemon bar thicker.

Allie's Delicious Baked Dumplings

These were so easy. Tastes like an apple turnover. Like others, the next time I make these I will cut down quite a bit on the cinnamon. It was a little overpowering but still delicious. The recipe makes 8 and my husband ate 4 of them in two days. So it's very good. Oh one more thing I left off the icing. They were great without it. Reheats just fine by microwave too.

This recipe was very good but it was so much like a crepe. Same method of cooking. I followed it exactly. It's just a little bit thicker. I will stick to my crepes. But thank you for a good recipe. Was worth trying.

Banana Bread V

I really liked this recipe. It wasn't as moist as I thought it would be but it was still a good recipe. I used 4 medium size bananas. I will make it again and try the substituting some of the white sugar with brown sugar as suggested and 1 more banana. I did add a little cinnamon the first time I made it and I will add it again. I think the cinnamon added to the flavor nicely.

Coconut Macaroons III

Just finished making these. Awesome! I made them according to the recipe directions but I added semi sweet morsels and I chilled dough for an hour before forming into cookies as suggested by others. This is much easier than the recipe I have that contains egg whites. I like them both but this one is the easiest.

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

I followed this recipe as best I could. My corned beef did not come with a seasoning packet, so I used pickling spice as another reviewer had done. I also used my slow cooker. I loved it. My DH said it was okay but he liked my way of cooking corned beef (pressure cooker) better and he said it had a strong bay leaf taste that he could have done without. I like the slow cooker method, saves me alot of work and I love spices so everything tasted great to me. 5 stars from me. I will make this again and use only one bayleaf next time.

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

This is a wonderfully easy recipe that ends up tasting like a pork roast. I needed a Sunday dinner that could cook while we were out. This was perfect. I didn't have chicken with rice soup so I used 14oz can of chicken buillion and 2 instant low sodium packets of chicken boullion and added 1/2 package of dry onion soup mix. I also added 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Added baby carrots an hour before it was finished and it turned out wonderful.

Raspberry Cream Cheese Bars

Bread Pudding III

Changed this a little. I used cinnamon raisin bread (no need to add raisins), 5 eggs (all I had),1/2c brown sugar,1/4 c white sugar, no salt, 2 cups milk and I warmed the milk didn't scald it. The cinnamon,nutmeg,vanilla, and butter I kept the same. Cooked it in a water bath. My hubby loved it. I usually follow the recipe exactly the first time but my bf told me her recipe so I mixed the two recipes. (Mine is better) Thanks for a great starter.

Blueberry Buckle

I made this exactly as the recipe was written. We really liked it. I think I will leave off the topping (sugar,flour, butter) because it ended up hard after baking. I think I will sprinkle a little sugar on top after baking. I am also going to add the vanilla that others have suggested. I think it was just a little bland, but still very good.

French Meat Pie

Loved this. I had to use pillsbury dinner rolls to form the crust because I didn't have a pie crust available. My family gobbled this up. Very easy to make too.
