About this Cook
I am a Personal Chef with successes in teaching and cooking for private parties. I consult and plan get-togethers for ladies nights for groups of 3-10. BBQ Parties are one-on-one consulting and teaching. I develop a menu based on the type of party. Sometimes it 5-6 tapas style temptations, sometimes its a 3-4 course meal. I plan to make you feel good after you eat, not full and sleepy. I cook with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. I bring a personalized chilled-out house mixed by myself, also a DJ. I teach if the company has questions, I teach cooking techniques, putting a spin on things and balancing flavors with each course. I also bring wine!!! spicychef@ymail.com
My favorite things to cook
Soups and Appetizers or Tapas. Asian and East Indian Infusion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Buy FRESH food. Its tastes better and its better for you, for LIFE.
My cooking triumphs
Many positive reviews and critisisms
My cooking tragedies
A few self inflicted cuts with un-sharpened knives (slipping on tomatoes). Ha! Its now an obsession to have sharp knives...and have bandages close by.

Thai Sweet Sticky Rice With Mango (Khao Neeo Mamuang)
Preparing it exactly as the recipe states doesn't work - Tooooooo much sugar to start. Everything else should be changed as well, needs to be rewritten. Its so sticky, it gets caught in every part of your mouth, throat and fills you up instantly.

Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes
It has an "Italian" taste to it. Something that I was expecting. I used a pear heavy chardonnay because I had thought a fruit wine will complement all the ingredients. I used Genovese basil, which is common but doesn't make a difference in the flavor - might as well use pesto. I think a bit of heat would be nice with some chili pepper flakes. Not bad recipe, the prep is right on.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies
I love Starbucks Ginger Cookies. These are just so much better!!!!! I agree with other reviews saying to let the mix sit before rolling, its a bit gooey at the start. Get some oil on your hands!
