About this Cook
I am a happily married newlywed who enjoys cooking for my husband. We run a business together so I am fortunate enough to have a lot of time to try out new recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Mexican food; Italian food; Casseroles; Love, love, love baking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my mom's lasagna. The sauce is so good and I use it for a variety of things. Also, I love birthdays because she always makes her cherry cream cheesecake!!
My cooking triumphs
When I made my first meal that my husband enjoyed. He is very, very picky!! I believe it was slow-cooked pot roast.
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at chicken parmesan. Came out totally raw and disgusting. I couldn't eat chicken for weeks.

Famous Butter Chicken
Great recipe. I also sprayed breaded chicken breasts with some spray butter and then only used 1/4 cup of butter for remainder of recipe. I always bake my chicken at 400 degrees for 26 minutes. Turned out wonderful. If you don't like a lot of butter this is not the recipe for you!

Garlic Chicken
This was wonderful! My husband (who is incredibly picky) said that he thought we should add this to our weekly menus. He also said "Wow! This tastes better than Shake n Bake!" Trust me, that is a rave review. He loves Shake n Bake!! I followed recipe exactly except for cooking time/temp. I cooked at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Came out perfect!!

Barbecue Beef for Sandwiches
I thought this was really good. I followed the recipe exactly and the meat came out a bit dry. I would do as other reviewers suggest and make the roast in a slow-cooker first. Also, the sauce was quite tangy but I didn't mind. I added a little extra salt while cooking to cut down on the sweetness. Will probably use less brown sugar next time.
