About this Cook
I'm a crazy long-distance runner. I run to become a better athlete, health is secondary, so I eat to live rather than live to eat. I've learned how to cook to accomodate my crazy eating habits: no sugar, flour or wheat. I teach radio and television production at a local community college and thank my lucky stars for my job every day!
My favorite things to cook
banana bran pancakes, stuffed peppers, nutty salad experiments, anything stir-fried and as much fish as I can get!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, I don't eat it any more, but my grandmother's cream chipped beef recipe and my mother's no-bake apple pie are to die for!
My cooking triumphs
Perfecting a flour-free, wheat-free pancake that's better than anything I've ever had at IHOP...lol!
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes I get a little to...er...ambitious with fruit/meat combos...I've had a couple of "experiments gone wrong" along these lines.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
I made this as written, but used long grain organic wild rice and tomato, basil bisque instead of tomatoe sauce...unbelievable...really delicious!
