WOW! I wanted a basic barbeque sauce because I am sick of the high fructose corn syrup in all the store brands. This recipe blew me away. I followed it exactly and really only had to buy liquid smoke to make it. Totally worth it and very easy! Thanks, Big Al!

GUZA really called it. I mostly followed her suggestions, except instead of white wine I used half a bottle of beer, 2 cloves of garlic, a pinch of thyme and the soup. It turned out great even without the fresh mushrooms.

Fantastic! I had fewer ingredients than I thought after shredding the cabbage and carrots, but the combo still worked. I used 2 pears instead of an apple, one cup of grapes, a cup each of raisins and dried cranberries. I didn't have any pineapple or walnuts and had to chop up large marshmallows. Totally worth the effort. Next time I might add chopped toasted almonds.
