About this Cook
I'm currently a stay at home mum, which has provoked me to start cooking for the family! Just the one daughter so far, and a great loving husband!
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things, but for now I'm just sticking to the simple recipes! I love my slow cooker though! Oh and I really love to bake.
My cooking triumphs
Sweet and Sour meatballs, everyone loved!
My cooking tragedies
None so far! Then again I stick to the easy stuff ;)

Strawberry Shortcake
From this recipe I made the shortcake, very good! I didn't change anything and they turned out wonderfully. The second time I made them I thought they could use a bit more sugar, so I added another tbsp (we like to eat them on their own too!). I also made hockey puck sized individual shortcakes instead of a whole one, they take about the same time in the oven and I ended up with about 8 using this recipe. Thanks!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II
Probably the best choco-chip cookies I have made yet! They turned out just great, and yes, I *did* double the recipe! I really don't see why doubling the recipe would make your cookies not soft...mine were perfectly soft! Anyway friends and family couldn't get enough of these, even the realtor took some home! Tip - Take cookies out of the oven when you notice the edges start turning the slightest tinge of brown...the cookies may look undone, but if you stick a knife in the centre you will see they are!

Sugar Cookies
Great recipe! The cookies were great consistency, chewy on the inside and a little crunchy on the outside! I rolled into 1 inch balls, and then using a flour dusted glass bottom I flattened them and used my cookie cutters fo different shapes! When they were done I mixed a little icing sugar with water and food coloring, painted the cookies with it and added sprinkles! They looked so festive I think I will make them for the fmaily on Christmas! Thanks a bunch!
