Twice Baked Potatoes I

These potatoes were delicious. I used my electric mixer to mash them and also baked an extra potato and discarded the outer shell so the filling would mound up a bit. The kids and adults all loved them.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

My family found the sauce too rich, and I had already cut the amount of cream cheese in half and added some chicken broth to the mix. We felt this recipe was ok, but not great, and won't be making it again. I know that lots of people rave over this meal but, if you don't like rich sauces, you may want to alter it or give it a pass.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Holiday Shortbread Cookies

I've tried other shortbread recipes in the past but these were by far the best results I have ever had - I can't believe how easy it was to make these cookies. I followed the recipe exactly except that I made 1/2 of a batch and baked them in a 9x13 pan. Everyone loved these cookies and I will be making them again.

Fluffy Carrot Muffins with Cream Cheese Frosting

These muffins were delicious! The only alterations that I made were to use 1/2 all purpose flour and 1/2 whole wheat flour and I didn't frost them. Thanks for sharing!

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

The entire family loved this bread! I followed the advice of previous reviewers to use 1/4 cup of honey, change the whole wheat to 2 cups, white flour to 1 cup and use melted butter instead of oil and it was excellent. Thank you for sharing!

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

My husband loves burgers, I'm not a huge fan, but we both loved these ones! I served this with additional extra sharp cheddar on top and didn't change anything in the recipe. The burgers were moist and very flavourful.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

We felt that this dish was missing something and will try adding some more spices next time, but it was definitely excellent. I followed the recipe except for using fewer onions and the sauce was creamy, firmed up nicely and browned at the edges (best part!). We will be having this again.

Garlic Chicken

We all loved this recipe, even the kids. The chicken was moist, the crust was delicious and prep and cooking were both very quick. I followed the recipe except that I used finely chopped fresh garlic instead of crushed. This will definitely be something we have regularly - thanks for sharing!

Garden Pasta Salad

Delicious salad that got raves when I served it for company at a barbeque. I took the recommendations to use less dressing, adding 1/2 the amount called for and then a few splashes more later once the original amount had soaked in. We will be having this again and again.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

I liked the pork chops but my husband LOVED them, and he is fussy about pork chops. They were tender and moist and the breading was flavourful. Even my kids thought they were great.

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

This dip was excellent. The first time I made it, I served it at a party and everyone raved about it. I cut the mayo to 1/2 cup as many of the tips suggested and will continue to do so. I will definitely make this again!

These potatoes were excellent! Tasted great and looked good too... I made these the first time for company and they all had good things to say. After reading the reviews, I did adjust the recipe a bit by putting in a little less sour cream than the recipe called for. We will definitely have these again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Excellent! I used thinner, boneless chops and didn't find them dry at all, even at the cooking time suggested. Very tasty and moist chops with a delicious sauce - we will definitely have this again as the whole family loved it.
