I've been called a 'kitchen addict' because its where I love to be. I came from a large southern family and food was always the center of our lives. My mother was a wonderful 'scratch' cook and she made Sunday dinners not just a tradition but a great expectation. Our home was always filled with extra folks who just happened to drop by at suppertime. I believe she passed this heartfelt passion for people and food on to me and I strive everyday to share it with others. I love to cook most anything...but baking has always been my strongest desire. Being able to share with others the old Southern favorites handed down by my momma and other family members is my way of passing the torch on the art of Hospitality to the next generation.
