Dutch Apple Pie

Never having made a pie with a topping, I was unsure how to put the topping on. It was very sticky and I kind of just globbed it on there the best I could. It looked messy but was DELICIOUS!

Okra Rice

This was my first time cooking okra and maybe I did something wrong, but this turned out bland a gooey. Maybe the okra got gooey because the rice took much longer to cook than 20 minutes.

The Best Lemon Bars

These turned out great. Followed the recipe exactly, except it turned out I didn't have enough sugar on hand, so for the filling I used 3/4 cup splenda and 3/4 cup brown sugar, and they were delicious!

i followed directions exactly and this turned out great for me. however, i recommended the recipe to a friend who had a little less experience butterflying and rolling meat, so she had a more frustrating experience with the rolling.

Bermuda Fish Chowder

Wow, this was an even bigger hit than I expected. The store was out of clam juice, so I used 3 cans of clams packed in clam juice, and added a cup of water. The clams made the chowder nice and meaty. Will definately make again.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

YUM! Easy and delicious. My husband and I fought over the leftovers! To reduce the sodium, I substituted a can of low sodium chicken broth for 8 oz of water and the boullion. Next time I might use 2 cans instead too give a little more flavor.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

As someone mentioned before, the batter seemed thick, but the muffins turned out excellently! I used Splenda and subbed half the flour with whole wheat flour. They're perfect for a fall breakfast on the go.
