To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
These turned out really well. They were very yummy. The topping made a change from just plain blueberry muffins. My coworkers raved. Also easy to make.

My husband really enjoyed these cookies. They were really easy to make. Next time I will make a bigger batch though. They went fast.

Texas Pralines

Didn't not set up. They stayed really sticky. It was a total waste of pecans and my time. If I would have known they wouldn't firm up, I would have made a sauce instead.

Macadamia-Crusted Sea Bass with Mango Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
The mango sause was YUMMY. I used mahi mahi because sea bass was out of season and mahi was on sale. My friends really enjoyed this rich combo. It's like making a $40 meal for less then half but all of the favor.

Figs and Toasted Almonds Brie

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
This was a GREAT combo. I have a large fig bush and wanted a few recipes to use up some of the figs. My friends really enjoyed this. It would even be perfect at the holidays. I left the fig sauce to thicken in the pan and ate it with toasted bread. MMM MMM good.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Flan

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
I made this for my friends who found out they don't really like flan lol that would have helped. But, over-all, if you enjoy flan, this might be a change of pace from the norm.

Sambousa

I used most of this recipe but I did change a few things to make it more arabic. My husband is from Jordan so I made it like his mother does. I used lamb meat, added minced green pepper and ground cumin and garlic. This certainly make the dish more middle eastern in taste. And, word to the wise on the egg roll wrappers. It's best to either totally cool the meat before you put it in the egg roll wrappers or make only a couple at a time then fry them. They tend to really stick together and get wet if the mixture is hot.
