I thought this cake was OK, but very sweet and tasted artificial. I ususally don't bake with cake mixes, so that may be why I didn't care for it. The frosting didn't spread well for me even though I tried to drain the strawberries thoroughly. My kids, however, loved it. They thought that a pink cake with pink frosting was the best. Although the cake wasn't bad, I don't think I will make it again given all the other excellent ways to use strawberries in desserts.

This is a very good salad that was well-received at a recent dinner I hosted. Like many reviewers I cut the sugar by half and used less onion. I also didn't have raisins on hand so I used craisins, but I think golden raisins would've been even better. I wish I'd made a little more dressing or saved some to add right before serving.

I've made these a couple of times and they are so good, just like the Vietnamese restaurant we used to go to in St. Paul (Hoa Bien). A few changes I make include omitting the mint, using regular basil from my garden, adding shredded carrot, and increasing the amount of shrimp. While I love the spring rolls, none of us cared for the sauces. I have to keep looking for the perfect peanut sauce.
