Six-Week Bran Muffins

I used these for years when my kids were home, now the daughters in law make them too. A teaspoon of all spice is what I add for flavor.

Excellent! Even gluten free is amazing! My hubby has celiac, and was so grateful for such a recipe. Real comfort food.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Very good, used the food processor, and made everything tiny dice....easy to scoop with tortillas or pita. Fresh lemon juice only, not the bottled stuff! I added some garlic also, and a handful of mint. Yummy!

Becky's Chicken Salad

This is my "go to" recipe everytime my daughters-in-law visit. The men all turn up their noses, and then we end up fighting them off of it. Wonderful simple recipe. Sometimes I have used sour cream in place of the whipping cream. Still delicious!

Buster Bar Ice Cream Dessert

This was a fantastic recipe! I made it for a get together, and we all thought we would have a bite of it before lunch......well, it turned out to be our lunch! Eveyone at two huge pieces, and skipped lunch! Worth every minute, and the fudge sauce tastes just like DQ's.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
Wonderful sauce, tweak it all you want, but DO NOT add the baking soda as suggested by a review......I did that, and it was HORRID. Someone told me this years ago for chili also, same result, AWFUL.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This is the only potato soup I make. It does take a little extra effort, but it is sooooo worth it. My family loved it, and still does. Been making it for several years. The kids are now married with families of their own, and this is a request I get when they come for a visit. Now the DIL's are making it for their families..... Crackers or homemade biscuits make it even better. I have made it using bouillon cubes even, and it is great. Have also made it with turkey bacon, and it wasn't even noticed by anyone.

Pfeffernusse

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
These cookies are fabulous! Not a sweet treat, but a wonderful spicy cookie. My husband loves Pfeffernusse, and I had never made them. He raved about them. Warn the readers that the dough is dry and crumbly. I was afraid I had put too much flour in, and made a second batch! But they came out great. Took the second dough and froze it to bake them off for when my adult kids come for a visit.

Aunt Betty's Banana Pudding

Reviewed: May 29, 2005
This recipe is divine. For the user that didn't like the bananas browning....I rinsed my bananas in a little lemon juice and drained them in a colander before folding them in. Also, the pudding got a little thick in the 15 min. chilling, I will not wait for it to get that thick again. Bellisimo!
