Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
this raised great, with no problems, and the texture was wonderful. But it was more bland then we are used to. If you are used to bread that isn't robust, you will love this one. I even added some sourdough starter for some of the water with no problems.

Cheesy Baked Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
I just recently started experimenting with salmon recipes, and it probably will not become one of my favorite foods... but.. this recipe is a very good one! It was really very nice, and I do recommend adding extra cheese. For those of you who love salmon, you'll love this recipe. I liked it, even tho salamon isn't my dish.

Tangy Turkey and Swiss Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
Excellent! I made it with the low carb wheat bread by natures own, and I used left over turkey from a previous meal, and it was soo soooo Good!! I cannot wait to try it with french, or Sourdough bread, and smoked turkey. It has to be out of this world if what I actually did fix was so good!

Strawberry Daiquiri

this didn't work out well for me... found it kinda bland, and it was more of a thick slush then a liquid drink. Guess its all in your blender and what you use in it.

Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
excellent!!! what a great dish! I added the basil, and parsley as previously suggested, plus the wine. I also added dried, chopped onion. Oh yummy! It makes a sorta sauce that is delicious served over the chicken. I used canned mushrooms, cause I didn't have fresh and it was just great! I also added pepper, and salt.

Hush Puppies I

This was the most awful hushpuppy recipe I ever tried. It was a runny mess. Shape into small ball??? I don't think so. Something, (like flour) had to have been left out of this recipe.

Sourdough Rye

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
really good! I have a 33 year old starter,so I have been using sourdough for quite a number of years.I only made a couple changes.. one, I added one package of yeast to the 1/4 cup water, and I just added the first ingredients to my starter and let it sit for an hour or so, cause I didn't know I was gona make this.I did use someones suggestion that onion be added, so I used dry chopped onion in the bread and sprinkled some on the baking pan. I did an egg wash,( one whole egg with a tsp. of water, mixed) and brushed it on the bread before baking, then added a sprinkling of caraway seed. It was really good. Its a real keeper! I made one big fat loaf instead of two.

If there were more stars I would give it more of them! Wow! What a great dish! We loved it! I couldn't find spanish peanuts, and I don't care for raw, so I used dry roasted peanuts instead...This is a real keeper! It will be made time and time again. I can't wait to fix it for church dinners, and company!

I was disappointed in this recipe. I found it quite bland. I even added the worcheshire sauce as some people suggested.I even made a mushroom sauce to go over it, and it didn't help it at all.

Best Ever Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
Thanks Boo! I used this years ago, and after dieting for a few years, it came up missing.. I think one similiar to it was on the old oatmeal boxes... loved it! I have been searching for this recipe, made it last nite, and we loved it! Thank you so much! The only tip I have is be sure you let it set before serving it so it will have a chance to firm up. It is wonderful!!
