About this Cook
I love to cook, and it is definatly one of my hobbies. I love to watch cooking shows, read cooking magazines, and cookbooks.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook southern dishes. However, I do not have much time to cook, so I look for recipes that can be prepared in the slow cooker, or pressure cooker. My real passion is baking, I love to bake cakes. I am trying to learn to cook healthier. Southtern food is SO good, but too much of a good thing will catch up with you over time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I was taught to cook buy my great aunt and grandmother. My grandmother has always prepared all of the large holiday meals. She now has Parkinson's disease, and resides in assisted living. So, she has tried to teach me know to prepare all of our family favorites, including a Stack Pie that she was alway famous for. I'll never be as good of a cook as her, but I love to learn and try to carry on the family traditons.

Easy Chicken and Noodles
This was a tasty, fast dish. I did follow other's advise, and added vegetables. I chose to add 1 cup of cooked, frozen mixed vegetables. I also chose to add onions and garlic to the chicken while cooking. I am sure I will prepare this dish again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip
I have been making this dip for years, and everyone loves it! I almost always get requests for the recipe. When my crockpot is not availible, I have baked in a 9 x 13 just until bubbly, and it works fine.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
I gave this 3 stars becasue the recipe was very easy. However, I did not care for the onion soup flavor on turkey. I like this much better on beef. It was not bad, but I don't think I would try again on turkey.
