About this Cook
I'm 25. I've been a florist for about ten years. I have a three year old son. Getting my husband and child to eat something besides tacos, chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese is pretty difficult... But we're working on it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything pasta!!! I love to saute veggies in garlic and oil and toss with pasta, thats one of my twice a week lunches!
My favorite family cooking traditions
umm...I don't really have any. My mother wasn't a very good cook. (she had to cook for nine picky eaters) She never really had time to experiment with different things.
My cooking triumphs
I taught myself to cook through trial and error.( and believe me, there were alot of errors!) It took awhile, But I am finally comfortable experimenting with tastes.
My cooking tragedies
None too bad... a few smoke alarms going off is about it.

Alfredo Mostaccioli
Very good. I didn't have fresh parsley so i used 1/4 cup of dried, but it was still a bit too much. I'll use less next time. I used fresh garlic and Locatelli cheese. Yummy! My kids loved it and asked for seconds (that rarely happens) Very quick and easy!

Garlic Shrimp Linguine
A very tasty sauce. I also had to double the butter and wine amounts. I added onions too so it soaked up alot of sauce and I had to add extra wine. But it was a good sauce. Its not heavy and it coats the pasta nicely.

Mushroom Pork Chops
very good. My kids loved it. I substituted onion powder for fresh onions and added 1/2 cup milk as per others suggestions. I would make this again
