My husband and I really liked this. I will definitely make the soup again. I rated this a 4* only b/c my son is so picky and didn't LOVE it. He initially rated the recipe a 2, but changed his mind after a couple spoonfuls to a 3 1/2. Didn't have enough northern beans, so added small white beans--which I wouldn't recommend--too mushy. Served with a great cornbread and salad.

I grew up eating a similar dish at my father's house. I love this, but the kids hate to pick out the onions and peppers.

Incredibly good. I've served this to many friends and family members who beg for the recipe. I rarely repeat recipes in the same month, but my family begs for this regularly! Make sure that you're using a quality BBQ sauce--it can make or break the dish. We love Sweet Baby Ray's, but I'm going to try a spicier sauce next time.
