Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
I thought this was good. I think I was expecting a lot from the reviews. I did alter the recipe: 2 1/4 cups sugar, 1/2 c. applesauce in place of 1/2 the oil and 1/3 cup of OJ in place of half the required water. I only had nutmeg and pumpkin spice, so I used 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice. This needed more spice. Next time I'll try sticking to the spices listed on the recipe. Or add a bit more. I'd also have used more sugar. I would've liked this a bit sweeter. I still ate a lot. Took this to work for a potluck and generally people liked them. They were definitely moist.
