Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Awsome! Easy! and Super Yummy! I had no problems making this recipe. Although I love cooking, I don't make much bread. I'm glad I took a chance on this recipe.

Whole Wheat, Oatmeal, and Banana Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
Super!!! I followed the recipe to the letter and they came out perfect. These are dense and super filling pancakes. I think next time i will add blueberries and orange zest for something different or maybe nuts and spices...oh the possibilities are great! :-)

Scalloped Potatoes II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
This recipe is failproof and is the perfect starting point for great scalloped potatoes. I have made this recipe a few times and it's turned out great each time. I took the advise of other reviewers and pumped up this dish with salt, cayanne peper, thyme and garlic.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
i love this mix. i have to admit i was bit of a snob when i first saw this recipe, but out of desperatation i think i found something great! let me tell you...this mix is better than anything you can buy in a store. since i like a little bit of heat in my chai, i've been playing around with different peppers. i also cut back on the sugar, i only used two cups.

this was loaded with flavor! too much for me. however, my husband liked them. the second time i made this recipe i omited the cheese, dry onion soup mix and dried basil. i cut back on the rosemary. i liked it much better.

great basic recipe. it leaves room for anyone to do their own spin of seasonings. i took the advise of some of the reviewers and used fresh bread crumbs. i'm glad i did.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
I love these pancakes! I didn't have whole wheat pastry flour or whole eggs, so I took the advise of HAYNIE13 about the flour and used a 1/2 cup of egg whites. Next time I will try haynie's idea of reducing the oil and using applesauce.

Chili I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2005
Love this recipe. Although I did make some changes, I still gave it 5 stars because of it's depth of flavors. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and cut back the tomato paste to 1 can and added only 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. I crushed the cumin seeds after measuring. I used two large jalapenos in the chili. The other two I mixed with sour cream to garnish each bowl of chili. I used 2 cans of kidney bean and added 1 can of pinto beans for the last 30 minutes.

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
micki thanks for the great recipe! this is the best way to make chicken broth!!! no skimming:-) i have made it about three/four times. i played around with using different cuts of chicken and i feel chicken thighs and wings work the best. the dark meat held up to the long cooking time. i don't like dried basil, instead i used a bit of fresh thyme, one bay leaf, one tsp of black peppercorns (don't use gourmet blend - way to peppery). fyi - the last batch of broth i made, i deboned the chicken after 4 hours. i put the bones back in for the last 4 hours and the broth came out more rich and thick.
