I am a wife and mother to two children. I work full time as an OB-RN. We are all involved with 4-H---my children show their dairy cows at the local county fair. I love to bake---cookies, breads, whatever. I don't mind making dinner if the family would give me some ideas what to try next---getting a little bored with the same old same old. My family eats so much chicken that they now call chicken "chicken again." Still in search of the "perfect" brownie, chocolate chip cookie, etc. Have come extremely close but am always looking. I have always had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for my kids for the first day of school---now that the oldest is in college, her friends on the field hockey team from high school still look forward to the cookies during practice. I enjoy baking and sending it to friends' children who are away at school. Nothing like getting a care package from home. Always thought that that would make a great business. Making recipes that have been handed down through the generations---especially during the holidays. My greatest satisfaction is when friends compliment me on some baked goods. Nothing like hearing someone else's family ask for cookies or brownies since "no one in their family bakes." Maybe that is a little smug but I love the compliments. My brother and I made some pasta dish with some kind of sauce to go with it---the sauce burned and it smelled terrible. I was about 12 at the time. Never did try that recipe again.
