About this Cook
I have been a stay at home mom for the last 7 years and have just re-entered the work force. I am now a unit clerk at a hospital. I love my new job and find it very challenging(reading doctor's handwriting) and rewarding. I love to scrapbook and make homemade gifts. I read cookbooks like novels and love to try new recipes. My husband gets so mad at me sometimes because I wont just cook the same old same old. I tell him we wouldn't have those regulars if I hadn't tried the recipes. I love all recipes because we can check the ratings to see if the recipe has worked for others.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make crock pot recipes and quick and easy things. Also things that don't require a ton of ingreadients. I also love a mexican theme dinner. I have lots of differant mexican recipes that my family loves.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our big tradition is Chex Mix at christmas time. Other than that I like to mix it up.
My cooking triumphs
I know I have found a good one if my husband goes back for seconds and thirds. If my picky daughter loves it we know we have a winner.
My cooking tragedies
I can not make gravy.

Bill's Beefuna Burgers
These wer just ok for us. With all the rave reviews though I think I will try them again just to make sure we didn't make them wrong.(husband made them)lol.

Pig Pickin' Cake
Very good and pretty cake. My advice is to make it the day before because it tastes even better the next day. Also I used a cheap (store brand) cake mix and I think it would of been moister with a Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines.

Cheese Cake Cups
These were very good. I topped them with the cherry pie filling like in the picture and they were so pretty. I only wish it made more. Next time I will double the recipe or make mini ones. Also I had to cook longer that indicated. (maybe just my oven)
