I'm the mother of three young children. I'm now a stay-at-home mom, but prior to the birth of my youngest child, I was working full-time in Corrections.
I love the outdoors and my family and I enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding, travelling, picnics and barbecues.
I'm a huge hockey fan and I love the arts as well, particularly musical theater.
My favorite things to cook
I'll try almost anything once!
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 17, I attempted to impress my then boyfriend with a pan of homemade lasagna. I slaved away trying to make sure it would be perfect come dinner time. I took it out of the oven and it looked great. The cheese was perfectly melted and golden brown. It smelled great. I was impressed. No sooner had I set it down on one of the stovetop burners, the glass pan and its contents literally exploded all over the kitchen. There was lasagna everywhere, even on the ceiling. I still to this day have no idea how I escaped being injured by the flying glass and hot tomato sauce. I have since learned that not all glass dishes are equal to Pyrex.
