Ham Bone Soup
Great for flavor as well as ease! I don't have a slow cooker though so instead I brought all ingredients to a boil and then lowered temp to med-low heat for about three hours. Additionally, I made some substitutions due to pantry limitations. They were...3 ounces red lentils instead of kidney beans, yellow and orange peppers instead of green, tomato puree instead of diced tomato, and 6 cups chicken broth with two chicken bullion cubes. What a fantastic recipe that can stand up to so many deviations!!!!
