About this Cook
Working mom always looking for quick & easy (yet nutritious) recipes to make on weeknights or weekends.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort food, desserts, anything quick & easy that my family will eat!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I usually make 7 different types of Christmas cookies - 4-5 traditional recipes with 2-3 new treats thrown in.
My cooking triumphs
I love entertaining and have a wonderful process for cooking Thanksgiving turkey that comes out great every time.
My cooking tragedies
Once I forgot to check mom's oven before preheating and unbeknownst to me she had Tuppeware stored in it. Wow that's a smell and a mess I'll never forget!

Bolognese Stuffed Bell Peppers
This recipe was CRAZY GOOD. The Bolognese had a wonderful flavor and went very well with the peppers. A nice alternative to 'standard' stuffed peppers. The recipe makes exactly enough to fit into 6 medium-large green peppers. My family found it to be delicious and filling. Next time I'm going to double the sauce and freeze half in a Ziploc for a future meal.

Cheese Fondue
I had never made cheese fondue before and found this recipe to be fairly easy to follow. The fondue itself has a very nice flavor and it is very thick. However it is SUPER RICH. I know it's supposed to be, but this whole recipe would be enough to feed a very large crowd. I served mine with cubed bread, grilled steak bites and steamed broccoli and the fondue flavor complemented each of them nicely. If you have leftovers, you can easily use it as a cheese sauce for vegetables or thin it out a bit and serve over pasta.

White Wine Chicken Soup
Wonderful soup with great flavor. I often make this, subbing in different vegetables based on what's in season and what I feel like combining. This is great any time of year.
