My wife loves it when I make meals. We've been married for 30+ years and it's only getting better! (my cooking and our friendship). Our daughters think it's cool to have a dad that can cook and shop for groceries. And now that the kids are mostly out of the house, my spouse makes me do almost all of the grocery shopping. At least I get what I want then. ;-) I love to make soups and comfort food. As of 2012, we're trying to cut down on meats, so I'm exploring vegetarian fare. Some has been very good, some so, so... But I will keep trying. A meal with family and friends. It can be a summer cookout or a Christmas dinner. I love it when people like the food I have prepared. A delicious pea soup for a dutch themed dinner that we had in our neighbor hood. And having prepared a ham for Christmas dinner with friends and family. I'll go check my e-mail while this simmers a bit.......Well, it was smoldering upon my return. For a while I had to plan a back up idea for dinners.
