I am a single mom of an 8yr old, who loves to help me out in the kitchen. His specialty is cracking the eggs. I come from a family of great cooks. I have great memories of being in the kitchen with my Mom and Grandma. Holidays have always been special at my house and a time to feast. My favorite meal would have to be Thanksgiving. I love to bake, my dream is to someday own a bakery. I enjoy cooking just about anything, sweet and savory. I love cooking dishes that look and taste like I've slaved in the kitchen for hours, but in reality, were quick and easy. No one is the wiser. Just about every female in our family will gather before Christmas and bake cookies together, hundreds and hundreds of cookies. Another tradition is our Thanksgiving meal. It is the same every year, but then again, why mess with perfection. My number one triumph would have to be baking/decorating my sister's wedding cake. I was a nervous wreck, but it turned out great. I haven't had any major cooking tragedies, but several minor mishaps. My ovens not the greatest, so I've burned my share of meals!
