About this Cook
Both my dad, mom and mother in law loved to cook-and I loved to eat their creations. I would say all 3 were specially talented in the kitchen, so I have some exposure. Now that they have passed on to another relm -its all me, cooking for the holidays etc. I like to cook recipes that are low in fat and on the healthier side, including and mosy importantly vegetables. I am somewhat of a purist, and have been known to eat a cooked artichoke(amongst other veg.) cold without any dips, flourishes, or stuffings. You could say I have a higher tolerance for veggies than most.
My favorite things to cook
Crock pot food, meats are so tender this way---I just dislike preparing dinner in the morning.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stuffed cabbage! Ziti with sausage! Indian food! Greek food! Artichokes stuffed with breadcrumbs, fresh garlic and cheese, food for the gods!!!
My cooking triumphs
Every day I'm still here on this earth, healthy... is a triumph..... I'm grateful,Praise God,I have food to eat. Most all of my successes have come from this website and I always recommend it to others. My mantra to those who want to know my secret "GO TO ALLRECIPES.COM"
My cooking tragedies
I get really depressed if a recipe fails because of the time and money taken to prepare, due to this recipes are chosen very carefully. My pop up is set to block tragedies,I prefer to walk on the sunny side. ;)

Greens with Hot Bacon Dressing
I enjoyed this with dandelion greens, celery, tomato, red onion, and avacado salad. It was super easy to make and not too salty or sweet.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever
Sorry, didn't like these, I thought they were way too sweet and weird texture without the flour.

Chicken with Chipotle
5 stars because it was easy, had few ingredients, and delicious. As others suggested I used only 1 cup of milk. Next time I will use chicken breasts, and cut them up and pour the sauce over. (I just happened to buy 5 leg quarters at the store and found this recipe) I garnished the dish with a hefty douse of chopped fresh cilantro. Excellent.
