About this Cook
I am a mom to 4 kids age 5 and under, and I love to cook. I could throw a full ethnic themed or American dinner party evry night, as long as someone else did the dishes! My kids eat just about everything, I just do not believe in "kid food", and my 2 year old daughter is a big fan of spicy mexican dishes and curry. My husband wishes I would just make meat loaf, pot roast, and possibly spaghetti and meatballs (as long as I keep it simple) so I cook a wide variety of foods.
My favorite things to cook
I really like to cook thai and idian foods. So many great and varied curries. I like unusual things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Prime rib, every Chirstmas. Its been my turn the past 2 years and I am very proud of my perfect prime rib!
My cooking triumphs
I make amazing cheesecakes in all kinds of original combinations and flavors.
My cooking tragedies
Chicken mole. Only thing I ever cooked that we threw out and went out for mexican instead. It was just awful.

Moroccan Lentil Soup
I LOVE this recipe. It is a winter favorite for sure. I do not blend or puree, however, I like the texure and why create more dishes? I add more spice to taste as I cook.

Asparagus Medallions
Not bad, but a little boring. Needs a little more seasoning on the pork or maybe onions.

Ukrainian Red Borscht Soup
Very good. I cook my beets with the skins on for about an hour in the water I will use for the soup. The skins slip right off after boiling and its easy to chop or slice them, besides it increases the nutritional value of the soup!
