About this Cook
I'm 30 and LOVE to cook for my husband and toddler... of course there is a caveat, he doesn't eat meat, except for fish. So cooking is a challenge for me, but one I love! This site is a huge help in providing lots of different recipes I can use and render however I need to! With our first baby on the way, I'm sure I'll be making lots of different meals every day!
My favorite things to cook
Pastas, seafood of any kind, crockpot meals... and lots more!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Taco night! I think most families have a traditional taco night, and it's one my husband and I love to do as well. Of course we either do veggie tacos or use soy crumbles, either way its yummy.
My cooking triumphs
I think in general my biggest triumph is having made the transition into cooking lots of seafood and using fake "meats". It makes it very interesting and knowing that the recipes are healthier for us makes me feel good!
My cooking tragedies
Tomato soup... not much more to say other than when I offered to "play" with the recipe the next time I made it, my husband asked that I just didn't even attempt it!! LOL

Cake Mix Cookies IV
I followed the recipe plus took a reviewer's suggestion and rolled the balls in powdered sugar and cinnamon! Then took another reviewer's suggestion and placed popsicle sticks in them! These will be used to decorate for Halloween at our MOMS Club meeting this week, thanks!!!! YUMMY :)

The Best Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms
My mom and I made this on Father's Day for my husband and father. Unfortunately we didn't have the mushrooms so instead we hollowed out a loaf of bread and baked it, yum!!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken
I would give this 5 stars but I had to alter the recipe based on what I had on hand, but it was fantastic nonetheless! I didn't have honey or steak sauce, so I mixed the dijon mustard with honey mustard and some worcestershire sauce... very yummy! I made extra sauce to keep on hand in the fridge, thanks!
