About this Cook
I'm a mom, career-woman, nurturer, taxi service, caregiver, and loving girlfriend just to name a few of my titles. I have a passion for cooking and trying new recipes. My kids and family always tell me I'm a better cook than I think I am.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook include anything Mexican. I love the smoky flavors and spices that are associated with Mexican food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have many family cooking traditions however, my favorite by far is coming up with Halloween Night dinner ideas. I've made "Spider Tostadas", "Eye Ball Tacos" and "Creepy Worm Filled Dirt" pudding desserts.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest cooking triumph was making my first Prime Rib. It was perfection and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was singing my praises!
My cooking tragedies
One worst cooking tragedy was when I tried a zucchini recipe I found that received rave reviews. It was literally the worst thing I ever made. I threw it away and we went out to dinner,

Honey-Ginger Grilled Salmon
This was so good! The kids loved it oo. I did, however, substitute the honey with Brown sugar and I'm so glad I did. I think the honey I had would have given it too much of a floraly note.

Mom's Breakfast Strata
I can describe this dish in 2 words; delicious and EASY!!! I made this on Christmas eve so that I wouldn't have to wake up and cook on Christmas morning. It was so easy to prepare and very delicious. I did however. only use 8 oz. of cheese instead of 16 oz. and that was plenty of cheese. Everyone loved it, even the kids. I would definately make this again. For a little kick you might want to use Pepper Jack cheese.
