Homemade Crescent Rolls

This was my first time making any type of crescent roll. They filled the entire house with a delicious smell. They were very easy to make, I didn't change a thing and I will continue to use this recipe.

Sweet Potato Casserole IV

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
We love this! I, our children & my father-in-law do not like sweet potatoes. I made this for Thanksgiving and will do so again for Christmas. The only suggestion my husband had was to cut back on the topping (pecans, brown sugar, butter)as it was a little too much.

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
These are wonderful! I learned from other reviews to use parchment paper, add lemon zest to the crust, and not to melt the butter. Otherwise I prepared the recipe as is. I had many requests for the recipe at the company luncheon!

No-Fuss Meat Loaf

To be different, I put bell peppers in here as another user suggersted. We also top it with barbeque sauce before baking. This was a good meat loaf recipe, had flavor and was easy.

Baked Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
I'm not a big lover of sweet potatoes, but these were really good. I cubed the potatoes a little smaller placed them in a plastic bag with the oil and seasonings. I shook them and then let them stand for a bit. I cooked them a little longer for crispiness. The flavors were great together. This is a keeper!

This was a wonderfully easy salad with a great flavor combination. I made a smaller salad, so we'll get to enjoy the dressing once again!

Pie Crust III

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
I was looking for a recipe that used oil rather than shortening. I used other's reviews with adding sugar & salt, but forgot to premix the water & oil. It blended very in my mixer and rolled out nicely with the wax paper. However, it was a little flakey and oily putting in the pie plate (even after chilling it). I could have used more flour, however the end result was a very flakey, flavorful crust. I used this with a chicken pot pie recipe from this site and it complimented it very well.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This was a very tasty recipe - surprising my husband even! I seasoned the chicken and cooked it on an oiled iron cast griddle. I then added it to a package of mixed veggies with some of the chicken broth. We loved the flavor and consistency used with a pie dough recipe from this site. Thank you for this keeper!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This was soooo good! I varied the recipe to our tastes as I didn't use the sundried tomatoes. We also like the mozarella cheese on the bottom of the bread and not melted. Fresh mozarella or shredded both work great. My husband couldn't get enough of this. It's on the menu every week!

This is a keeper! I used limes instead of lemons and only marinated for about 2 hours. I used flank steak and top sirloin with this. Everything turned out great and was very good!

Whipped Sweet Potato Casserole

I've never made sweet potato anything and this was very easy and tasted good. My husband loved it. He suggested no nutmeg as the little amount seemed too much. The marshmallows were a nice touch.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

This is a very quick and simple recipe. The tricky part is the timing in the microwave as well as getting it spread onto the sheet. I used the aluminum foil idea. It was a favorite at Christmas this year!

Antipasto Salad

We liked the little bit of spice to this. I didn't have macaroni noodles, so I used bow ties and it was very good. We're also not much of tomato eaters, so I substituted green & red peppers. I cut each pepperoni slice in half to make it go farther. This is added to my recipe box!

This is a very easy recipe to make. It is moist and has good taste. I made it in a pampered chef bar pan and cut it into small squares with no frosting. It is a great snack for the children.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

These were so yummy and easy to make. I did fill them from the top as well. I also added some chocolate chips for extra chocolate and made sure I didn't over bake. They had enough flavor and were very moist. I will continue making these - no more boxed mixes!
