Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Okay, seemed a little tart, maybe if I added a little more sugar next time. It looked BEAUTIFUL though, I have never had a pumpkin pie turn out so nicely.

Pecan Pie V

Not too bad, I missed the 'usual' texture of pecan pie, this one was somewhat dry and gummy. The flavor was good though.

Wow. Perfect recipe, incredibly good. Rave reviews! I used butter instead of lard for crust, was SO delicious. I added a little corn, omitted the mushrooms (they had gone bad in the fridge). I wish there was a higher rating...

Golden Potato Soup

Utterly fantastic!! Didn't have the ham: didn't need it! Added chopped baby carrots for more color, shredded cheddar instead of American, and pureed 1/4 of the soup for creaminess instead of the flour method. Picky partner had seconds, 7mo baby loved it.

Cherry Dream Cake

I tried this cake after seeing it in one of those skinny recipe idea books by the baking section before Christmas. I made it for an office party, and I thought it was okay, but nothing special. My co-workers ate it all and left the store cookies in the box. It did look very pretty.

Pumpkin Seeds with Cinnamon and Salt

Not bad. I tried adding sugar, and they are pretty good, but it made them stick together as the sugar carmelized. I think I prefer the savory or plain recipes better, maybe I will try with no suger next time.
