I substituted a tablespoon of half/and half for the shortning in the creme, and used one cup less oats in the cookies, and chocolate chips instead of raisins, but I did everything else exactly and these were delicious! The dough held up well and formed beautiful cookies, and the cremewasjust the perfect consistency -- light and wonderfully colored. I will use this recipe again!

Delicious! This was my first attempt at jam and it turned out beautifully. i followed the recipe exactly, except I added just a little bit more butter. I will make this again!

This was great! I have to say I didn't have serrano peppers, but I used chipotle instead and it was delicious. I also added a green chile pepper, for color. Thanks Lindalu!
