Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

Nice and moist, just the way we like it. I added a half cup of chocolate chips as well as chopped pecans (didn't have walnuts)... this recipe made 4 little loaves.

Italian Vegetable Soup

This is a hardy soup that you can change up easily with whatever vegetables you have on hand. I used ground turkey and fresh green beans, frozen roasted corn from Trader Joe's... followed other directions... will make again and again...

moist, excellent flavor... I used half applesauce & half oil & added 1/2 cup craisins... otherwise made as directed. I will definitely make again and again.

Coconut Cream Pound Cake

made exactly as directed; used a silicone bundt pan. I had to bake addt'l 20 mins. in order for cake to be done; Good coconut flavor, but outside was dark and crusty before inside of cake was done... I was okay with it, but most people were not.... I probably will not make this again...

Peanut Butter Banana Bread

I made 24 muffins with this recipe, baked at 350 for 20 minutes... they were tasty, but dry. Next time I will add another banana or two. Definitely worth trying again!

Pumpkin-Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These were very good if you like a cake-like cookie. I used craisins instead of raisins because that's what I had on hand; other than that, followed directions exactly. I'll definitely make them again.

French Dip Sandwiches

I tripled this recipe to feed 20 adult kids... I used lower sodium soy sauce, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. That is what I do with every new recipe I try. I don't think it's fair to rate a recipe when you make a bunch of changes... The sandwiches got rave reviews... I had carmelized onions & mushrooms as well as provolone cheese to serve with them on hoagie buns...

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I made a much larger recipe. With 3 lbs. ground beef & 1 lb. italian sausage, I made 150 golf ball sized meatballs. I simmered it all afternoon; my guests could smell it cooking outside the front door. It's a very easy & really tasty recipe.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

I doubled the recipe for a group of twelve, using 5 lbs. of potatoes & two onions. Next time I will add garlic to the cheese sauce... this time I sprinkled cayenne pepper on the top & would do that again for the extra flavor. They were a huge hit!

Lemonade Pie III

This was yummy! I doubled the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan (with homemade graham cracker crust) to serve a crowd. I put it in the freezer and took it out just before serving... very light & refreshing after chili for dinner...
