Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
These have an awesome flavor. I added cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Used oil in place of butter, simply b/c I didn't have enough butter. Turned out great. I did have a little trouble with the "crumb" topping. It ran off the sides of the muffin and made the bottoms of the muffins all goopy....next time I'll try a different type of crumb topping. Because it tastes great with it. They taste just as great without the topping too.

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
Oooh no, this is no Jiffy mix. This is the BEST cornbread ever! It was moist, didn't have that grainy cornbread texture, was sweet, and sooo good. I did take the advice of another reviewer and added 1/3 cup sour cream for additional moisture. Also, used a 10-in. skillet, as that was all I had. PERFECT!! All my other cornbread recipes are out the window.

Quick Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Absolutely the best biscuit recipe ever, and I have searching for the longest time. I didn't have a biscuit cutter, so I just used a floured drinking glass. Worked out fantastic. This biscuit recipe will be my one and only. The only thing I will change is to cut in 1/4 cup of butter flavored crisco to the flour before adding the cream. Makes for very tender flaky biscuits that dont dry out the next day.

Gooey Butter Cookies

These bake up very well. Good consistency. But they taste like you're sucking a big spoonful of butter. I know they are "butter" cookies, but woa...

Fantastic. So tender it fell apart. And great flavor too. Will not cook corned beef any other way. Leftovers are great for sandwhiches.

Winter Energy Cookies

I like how thick these are. They are a little dry, though. Are good with milk or coffee. Mine only took about 11-12 minutes to cook, because my oven always cooks quicker than recipes state anyway.

Vegetable Beef Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Really really good. I scaled it down to fit into my crockpot, and added some beef bouillon to offset some of the strong tomato flavor. And I used ground beef instead of stew beef, and added some chopped garlic. Very awesome.

Apple Dapple Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
This was just "ok". I was surprisingly disappointed. Certainly not "rock my socks off" kinda recipe. It was a little dry, to my surprise. Added cinnamon, and that was good. I think it would have been a little bland without it.

Chocolate Creme Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
The creme filling was good. I was pleasantly surprised. The sugar was very quick and easy to dissolve, and it wasn't runny at all. I used yellow cake mix with banana pudding mix instead. Was very good. They are a bit messy though. Next time, I think i will make cupcakes and fill them with the creme filling using a pastry bag.

Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Very good. A nice, mild peanut butter flavor. Tastes very similar to a big peanut butter cookie. A little crumbly though. But I will make this again. I've thought about maybe adding chocolate chips. YUM.

Fantastic. Great flavor, and my house smelled soooo good. I made this in a bundt pan, and used only 1/2 cup of oil. This came out great. Very simple to make. Thank you for sharing!

Low Fat Moist Chocolate Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
Very surprised and pleased. A very good base for lots of possibilities. I think they are a little "flat"..not as "thick" as some brownies, but I will definitely make these again. Love that they are low fat. YUM.

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
Wow! This recipe is fantasic! Tastes just like pecan pie, with a carrot cake consistency. It is certainly not very good for you, but it tastes fantastic. I couldn't get over how moist it turned out. It didn't break when I took it out of the pan, to my surprise. Will make this again and again!

A wonderful recipe. Very easy, filling, and great for winter. What I really love about this is it's very inexpensive to make. You can doll it up all you like, but the fact of the matter is, it's a classic as is. Thank you. Will make it over and over again.

Quick Black Forest Cake

Very, very good recipe. Loved it. Very sweet. I used a bundt pan and it turned out great. I didn't use the glaze. Instead, I used Betty Crocker's "Whipped Cream" frosting, heated it in the microwave, and drizzled it on top as a glaze. YUM! Thanks for the recipe. Will be using it again and again.

Dad's Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

The cookies came out really dry. Plus, the recipe says 375 degress, but it seems as though it should be a little lower. My cookies burned after 5 minutes at 375. Will not make these again.

Maryland Crab Cakes III

Way too much crab, not enough breading. It was, however, very easy to make, and I loved the fact that they are broiled and not fried. If I could rate a 3.5, I would. Will probably not make these again.

This is an amazing recipe!! The cookies come out so soft and perfect, with an awesome flavor. I love the fruit inside the cookie. It's a perfect cookie recipe. And it's so easy to make! I just happen to always have the ingredients around the house. Will most definately make these again and again!

Wow! I can't believe I actually made a yeast roll from scratch! I am really impressed with this recipe. Very, very simple. A heavier type yeast roll, I think would taste great with a soup or stew. Wonderful recipe. Would love to make these again.
