Very nice!! We've made this a number of times. I've made it with chicken, turkey, ham, leftover steak, ground beef, and even sliced hot dogs in a pinch. Extremely versatile. Love love love it.

Very, very good! Made as is, except we used cheddar cheese. Definately a keeper. We all loved this.

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
Has a really good taste. Took others' advice and used the brown sugar/oatmeal topping..very worth it! And threw away the extra cornstarch mixture, and it wasn't soupy at all. It doesn't cut well at all. More like a very good strawberry cobbler. But tastey, and not too sweet.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
Boy do I love this! I used half broccoli and half cauliflower, roasted peanuts in place of sunflower seeds (much cheaper, and I couldn't find sunflower seeds!). Used less onion. And I also used half of the dressing mix...which seemed to be more than enough. It would have been too soupy otherwise.

Ham Cheddar Biscuits

Id give this 10 stars if I could. It's perfect. I brushed with melted butter before going into the oven, and just after they came out. Great way to use up some of that leftover ham! Tastes amazing.

Hearty Hot Dog Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
This really was a hearty soup. If you're feeding a large family like mine, you would need to double it. I served it with cornbread, and used cheddar cheese instead. Wouldn't be opposed to using parmesean cheese in place of it.

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Fantastic pound cake recipe. It was heavy, moist, dense just like it should be. I used buttermilk instead. I normally switch off between buttermilk, evaporated milk, heavy cream, or half and half. All work very well. And I used cake flour. We dont like the taste of almond extract, so I used vanilla, and butter & nut. The trick is not to overmix the flour into the batter. This has the signature thin crust on the bottom, which is our favorite part! The outside crust is not chewy or tough at all. The entire cake is tender and moist. Ive made quiet a few different pound cake recipes, and this one is the best.

Venice High School Cherry Butter Cookies

These were good, but the dough was extremely crumbly and almost impossible to work with. Because of that, I probably won't make these again.

These are wonderful.Everything about this recipe is perfect. And I actually had no problem whatsoever with sticky dough. Didn't add extra flour or anything. These are soft, and have a fantastic flavor that can't be beat anywhere else. These are a staple around the Christmas Season.

Very easy and it looked so pretty! Next time I will bake it in my cast iron skillet. I had to add a few more apples. It is not overly sweet. Great for breakfast.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Very good egg salad! I omitted the green onion, and added a few tablespoons of dill pickle relish. I think next time I'll use just a little less mayo. Was too creamy almost...a little runny.

Coconut Cream Cake II

This was very pretty, and held together nicely. But it was really really sweet. I made it as dessert for Christmas dinner, and there is still some left on the counter today. Will not make this one again. I will probably stick with Emeril's Coconut Cream Cake recipe.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I would give this 10 stars if I could! This is the absolute best mac and cheese recipe. I love that you don't have to bake it, too. It's creamy, rich, and sooooo yum! Total comfort food. I made it as stated, except I used colby cheese and subbed a few shakes of ground mustard in place of the dijon. This is the only homemade mac and cheese recipe for us. It's our absolute favorite, and I've been searching for along time! Thank you sooo much for posting this recipe!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
The filling wasn't enough to fill even one graham cracker crust. It maybe filled it halfway, so you'd half to double the ingredients to get one pie. It was tart like I enjoy it,and suuuper easy to throw together. It was very creamy, and not "eggy" at all. You can't even tell they're in there. I think once you fix the problem with the amount of filling, it's 5 star pie!

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
Fried chicken is an artform, and I have not been blessed in this department! So I spared my family and baked this instead. I placed 2 metal cooling racks in the bottom of a shallow roasting pan so the bottoms of the chicken wouldn't get soggy. Baked at 375 for about an hour, uncovered. Was moist and crunchy, and had lots of flavor.
