Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
This was good but I thought it wasn't as moist as everyone said it was. I used your regular ground beef (not super lean). I had a feeling it wasn't as "moist" as the recipe indicated it would be so I was a little worried it would be a little dry... I was right but thought maybe the greese from the beef would help moisten it during the cooking process... I did 5 hours on low... maybe next time I should only do 3.5 or 4 and check it! I'll re-rate next time I try it! It was definately worth making it b/c the kids enjoyed it! I thought the topping was too sweet as well and I LOVE sweet stuff!!! I am glad I made the sauce and served it seperately!!

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Oh my goodness... DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you!! I only made a few insignificant changes in my opinion. I always add more cinnamon, so I probably doubled that! I added 1 tablespoon of flour to that seasoning as well just b/c I didn't want to risk the chance of the pie filling to be too runny (based off past reviews) I mixed the apples w/ the seasoning prior to putting it into the crust. And my last change was purley b/c I heated the butter a little too much since it wasn't soft enough to cream w/ the sugar when I was ready for it... so I added equal amounts of flour, white sugar, and also brown sugar to the butter after it was too soft so it became crumbly vs creamy... I'm glad that happened b/c we LOVED the crumble topping and the fact that there was a lot more than usual was a big plus!!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
So Good!!! I made a few changes only bc I didn't have time to 'test' this meal first!! I could only find a 16oz bag of peas, I added a half tsp pepper, upped the poultry seasoning, and added about a tsp each of oregano and basil. It was really good and my revisions didnt change the base of the recipe thats why I gave the full 5 stars!! Next time I plan on adding an extra can of soup and maybe an extra cup of water so there's more juice to do more dumplings... bc the dumplings are SO good!! Just not enough room to add all that dough!! I did it in sections.. maybe 10 dumplings, then as I dished it out I added more!! I'll use the extra dough for biscuits! Thanks so much for sharing!! This recipe is a sure keeper!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
A year or 2 ago when I was looking for a good and easy recipe for pulled pork I saw this one and passed b/c I thought root beer sounded gross... So i went with another recipe (which was not as easy). I wasn't thrilled and thought ok, i'm going to try that root beer pulled pork recipe... and Oh My Gosh!!!! I wish I would have went with this recipe first!!! GET PAST the fact that it uses root beer b/c you will be so happy you tried it!! ONLY change I made is I use pork shoulder (aka pork butt) More tender and easy to shred!) Other than that... as many have said before... we love sweet baby rays!! I have made my own when time isn't an issue but you just can't go wrong with this amazing recipe. I've thought about (haven't tried yet) trying it using for my BBQ beef recipe that i got from allrecipes.com! Anyway, thank you so much for a staple summer time party food!!!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
I'm not sure why this recipe has any low star ratings... the person who said the dough was crumbly obviously didn't do something right despite what they might say... there is no way if you follow the recipe exactly that will happen! My M&M's stayed in the dough, the dough was delicious and my cookies came out perfect!! I will def. make again, next time I might try adding some peanut butter at the request of my daughter!! Thank you for sharing, this recipe has a great rating for a reason!!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
These are good!! Love zucchini... only thing I personally feel like they need a bit more sweetness in the actual brownie... the frosting helped that a little but next time I think I'll figure in a bit more sugar or brown sugar! Thanks for a great recipe!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
Hands down...easy recipe that DELIVERS what it says it will... cookies were delicious and soft!! If you take them out right at 10 minutes then let them set on the hot pan for a couple to cool just a bit, they do bake a tiny bit more and they come out perfectly soft. If you bake them the full time I thought they came out a little crunchier than we like! Anyway we frosted them with the special buttercream frosting from this site instead of doing the sugar... and they were SO good!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
These are very good and chewy. My only reason for not giving it a 5 star is that the cookies have a low key floury taste to them. I think I agree with a few other reviewers... they need some extra brown sugar to give them the sweeter taste. They are good but for some reason, after I took mine out of the oven they flattened... I wonder why... any suggestions??? I'd love to figure out what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks for a great recipe, they are def. worth making again, but be ware, you'll get a lot!!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
Yes... this was delicious. I didn't change anything other than added the extra celery/carrots/onions that I chopped too much of. (which wasn't that much more) Other than that, I didn't change anything. It was delicious. I don't think the sauce was too thick at all! I like a thicker sauce in most things anyway, but this wasn't too runny or too thick. It was the perfect consistency. My husband loved it and most of my kids loved it too. The picky one just ate the chicken and pastry portion but even so it was a big hit and it was easy to prepare! I will definitely bake this again. A great way to get in some good veggies! Thank you!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This really is delicious!!! I am a crock pot lover... and so I followed the advice of the another reviewer and used my crock pot to prepare. I put in everything but the butter/flour/milk and let it cook on low all day long. I added a little over an extra 1/3 C. of the chopped ham... an extra 1/3 C. chopped celery to get in those extra veggies for the kids... and I didn't have milk so I used half and half and I actually think that helped to make the soup a bit thicker... the way we like it! When it was time to add the butter/flour/milk I just followed the directions to put that together and added it to the crock pot when it was ready. We ate about 45 minutes later. The kids gobbled it down and even asked for seconds. We liked adding shredded cheddar cheese the the soup when serving. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe! Perfect for these cold fall days!
