About this Cook
I am a married 39 yo mom of 2.A 14 mo old boy and 13 yo girl. I work part time outside my home as a medical assistant. I just recently started to enjoy cooking more now that I am at home more.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake. Trying new recipes is always fun. I find myself alterring some of them to provide lower fat and sugar conents. I enjoy making quick dishes with simple/few ingredients as well as more elaborate meals when time allows.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being from Italian descent, I love to make homemade tomato sauce with pork, meatballs, sausage. Serving that with angel hair pasta and garlic bread is a family favorite/
My cooking triumphs
My daughter us diabetic and my husband loves sweets and bread. A triumph is trying to balance everyones needs and tastes without making 3 different meals.
My cooking tragedies
There are many sad to say, I believe a cake comes to mind that stayed as a batter after recommended cooking time, (it was being brought to a family function( Oh well)
