I live in the Charlotte, NC area and am currently a SAHM, but worked as a critical care/ER RN for several years. My husband and I have been married for 3 years and have a 2 year old son, along with our "other" children our 4 year old English Bulldog, Bella, and our Shih-tzu puppy, Doc.

Anything that is challenging but not annoyingly messy (you know what I'm talking about mom)!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy cooking with my mom. Every time we get together we love trying new recipes. We always try to take requests and always make way too much food. We have some picky eaters in the family so we have a lot of secrets!
My cooking triumphs
One of my biggest triumphs was making a birthday cake for my son's birthday, it was a Mr. potato head cake and I think it looked pretty good, though my son wouldn't eat it, I think it freaked him out a little.
My cooking tragedies
I've been pretty fortunate in the tragedy area, I (knock on wood) haven't burned anything or set anything on fire so that's a plus! I do have a hard time mastering cooking steaks of any kind and anytime I make homemade cookies they're really flat and not soft enough, so I buy cookie dough and save myself a headache.
