I enjoy baking - it was always easier to me than cooking! We don't always have the freshest ingredients handy where we live, so keeping things interesting and delicious is challenging. Anything new! I love trying out a new recipe, and I love it even more when it becomes a favorite of mine to keep! I have great memories of Christmas...growing up in Alaska, life was generally very busy day to day, so special occasions and holidays were the time to break out those recipes you had been dying to try all year! I don't have any extreme triumphs - I've recently mastered bread, so that makes me happy! Oh goodness, too many to mention! LOL I remember when I was younger I misread a recipe for chocolate chip cookies and put in 3T of baking soda instead of 3tsp. Those were some salty hard cookies!
