About this Cook
I was raised in California but my mother was from the midwest and my father was from Greece. I have a good mix of midwest cooking meets mediterranean.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I love to find new cookie and bread recipes and tweak them to fit my families tastes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess you can say I am the Cookie Lady. I make cookies every Christmas and each year add a new recipe. My sister does not bake very often. So, when I come over for Christmas they prefer my cookies over presents any day. Which makes me feel good.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I ever made cookies I was 9 years old. I was making chocolate chip cookies and I forgot to add baking soda. The cookies spead all over the pan. It lookied like a thin layer of cookies when they came out. Never did that again. Now when I cook, I put eveything on the counter and as I use them I put them away. That way if there is something left on the counter I know I missed putting it in the recipe.

Garlic Chicken
My husband does not care for chicken and my daughter rarely eats chicken. I made this dish hoping that he would like it. Well I followed the recipe to the T and he loved it and my daughter did too. I can not make this once a week and they both eat it. This is a definite keeper. Thank you so much for such an easy and tasty recipe. This recipe is so easy that on days when I am working late my husband will even make it. That way when I get home, dinner is ready and we can sit as a family for dinner.

Baked Ziti I
I gave this recipe to my husband to fix. It was very easy for him to follow. And when I got home from work, dinner was ready. It was very good. My husband really loved it. We decided that next time we will use spicy turkey sausage instead of hamburger next time.

It's Chili by George!!
I made this chili today and everyone really liked it. They only thing I added was red chili's, because we like it spicy. Other then that everything else was the same. I will make this again.
