Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I've never been much for the vinegar base BBQ cause I'm from the north and would prefer regular BBQ sauce, but this was very good and I would make it again. Just a note: I did add a touch of red pepper flakes for a bit more punch.

Excellent Fondant!!!! I will use this recipe everytime I want white fondant for a cake. Very easy to make and work with. Way better than the marshmallow fondant.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
This was actually very good, but I did make some some changes. First, I halfed the recipe because 5 lbs of potatoes was way too much. Then I substituted a whole small onion since I didn't have any green onions. Added garlic. Used the whole can of cream of chicken soup. Used turkey kielbasa because I had no ham. And used Italian style bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese and it came out wonderful. My picky son never likes anything and he had 2 big plates full. Thanks for the recipe, it will be used again, I'm sure.

Dog Biscuits II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
I have 2 beagles that loves these cookies. One of which is never too happy with the store bought biscuits, but give her one of these and she looses her mind. I made some changes just like everyone else and used boneless - skinless chicken breast that I put in the food processor to chop up after boiling. I eliminated the salt since the chicken bouillon tends to have too much salt already. Kept everything else the same and I have a cookie that my dogs would die for.

This was truly the best made from scratch chocolate cake I have ever had. I did make 2 changes. 1. I elimated the vinegar. 2. Used buttermilk instead of regular milk. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome cake. You've got to try it.

Yet, one more review that will say that this recipe was AWESOME! Though my cheesecake cracked a bit, it didn't make the taste any less than AWESOME!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This was a very tasty recipe, even my husband liked it a lot and he does not really like stuffing. I used one of the crock pot liner bags which was a good thing because before I knew it, it start to stick to the bag and I absolutely hate cleaning the crock pot. I did use extra broth at the end and added more salt. I'm not a saltaholic but I just thought it tasted better that way. I will be making this recipe whenever I want stuffing during the year.

Pumpkin Cookies VI

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
These were very good! I like most of the reviews changed the recipe a bit to fit what I thought would work. I added pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon and extra oatmeal and pumpkin. I, however, did not find that the dough was too soft, I found it to be the perfect cookie dough consistency. This will be another keeper recipe for me.

Stained Glass Candy I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
Great recipe! This was my first time making this type of candy and will use it again as part of christmas gifts. I, however, used another person idea of using unsweetened kool-aid instead of flavoring and coloring and it turned out GREAT! It was full of color and flavor. Then dusted it with a light coating of sugar to give it that candy store look. Thanks Lisa.

Chocolate Covered Pecans

Not bad, next time I would add more chocolate to get better coverage. Probably 1 cup of chips to every 2 cups pecans.

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
OK folks, we, in my house like sweets a lot. So, I doubled the amount of coating for the 4 cups of pecans added about 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla and gave them a cinnamon and sugar coating while still hot and I couldn't get them to stop eating them. My husband said they reminded him of the hot pecans we got when we went to disney world.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2005
This is truly a wonderful pie crust. I've used it to make a homemade chicken pot pie and it is great, even warmed up the next day. I've baked the left over crust with some cinnamon and sugar on it and I couldn't stop eating it. Just wonderful!

Blueberry Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
This was AWFUL! Both my husband and I did not like this recipe. I really had high hope for this recipe but the I think the combination of cinnamon and blueberries just do not mix. Then the flavor of the biscuit was less than desired. I sure will not be making this one again.
