Chewy Caramel

Ok, I can't believe I have been paying $10.00 a lb. for these at my local Chocolate store. Wow, chewy and yummy. Get them wrapped in wax paper right away or you will eat the whole pan. These were much easier then I thought and actually had every item in my pantry. The most time consuming part is wrapping them but worth it. what a great christmas gift these will make.

Special Buttercream Frosting

yummy! great way to top off a cake! Also froze some and reused it for cupcakes...I did thaw and rewhip it with a little milk.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

This was good, not restaurant good though. I used instant rice and refrigerated during prep.I did make a sauce of soy sauce, chinese 5 spice, garlic and Hoisen. Stirred some into the eggs while cooking too. Also added some little sesame oil to the mix. I would call this a good "base" recipe but it needs some added ingredients. My 6 yr old had 2 servings and my husband gave the thumbs up! Thats always a good thing. Will make again and play around with the sauce a bit.

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

My 6 yr old daughter loved this! I would have rated it a 3, but was a 4 after I doctored it up a bit. Added fresh spinach, steamed broccoli, sauteed onions, fresh basil and garlic. Added some seasonings and parmesan. I guess I did add more than I thought....anyway, I still felt it was missing something, a little bland. This is a great Base recipe and I will use again and play around with other ingredients. Thanks Laura.

What can I say...YUMMY. I make this all the time, especially for holidays and get togethers! Great base recipe, I have made a lot of variations to this and it always comes out great.

Chicken Lo Mein

This was good, not great. Nothing beats good LoMein at your favorite Chinese restaurant. It took too much time, work and effort for the result you get. I did alter the recipe a bit so that could also have affected the turnout.

Sweet Potato-Turkey Meatloaf

This was interesting, odd flavors. My daughter who loves sweet potatoes thought this was terrible and my sweet husband ate it, but I could tell this isn't a keeper. I think this is just too sweet to call a meatloaf. I really wanted to like this....but didn't.

Impossible Buttermilk Pie

I don't think this receipe gets enough views, this is just absolutely DELICIOUS! Had this over Christmas at my Mother-in-laws and had to have the recipe. This is easy to make and just feels like good old fashion comfort food!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

This was definately JUICY! I had a 4lb. chicken and I think I should've cooked it a little longer. I did season with Greek Seasoning and put the butter under the skin. next time I will season it more, but overall a keeper, my 6 yr. daughter was a big fan!
