I am a happily married lady living in Southwestern Michigan. I am lucky enough to work from home and have lots fo time to use the website and find new recipes. I love to cook anything! I generally cook by seasons, making wonderful soups and casseroles in the wintertime to fresh salads and grilling in the summer. My mother is a great cook and encouraged me to cook from a young age. She always tried diverse recipes from many ethnic backgrounds. For holidays, we make many German and Norwegian dishes. My husband and I both love to cook. My triumps are throwing parties with him - we Yankees can even throw a decent Mardi Gras party complete with Gumbo (using seasonings from Louisianna), Dirty Rice, Barbeque Shrimp and Crawfish and Oyster Poor Boys. I have yet to make a good pecan pie. My first attempt was undercooked and runny, but delicious according to my husband who ate it over icecream....lol.
