Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

OMG! This recipe is awesome! So simple and delicious. I made this for our yearly Christmas party with friends and they devoured it! I don't even normally like homemade macaroni and cheese..what can I say I like my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, but this recipe is a keeper! I substituted colby/monterrey shredded cheese for the american and it still came out great!

Lemonade Cake III

My grandmother used to make this cake for us when we were little. I think it is absolutely, by far, my favorite cake ever! We use yellow cake mix instead of lemon cake mix and it it still very lemony, sweet. We also use confectioner's sugar instead of granulated sugar for the icing. I LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE this cake!

Lemon Mustard Chicken

Hubby liked this recipe, I'm not sure it's my "cup of tea". Funny, I read the reviews saying too lemony and my complaint is that I couldn't taste the lemon. I'm not giving up on this recipe though, I think I might marinate the chicken with the lemon and mustard for a couple of hours next time and see if that improves the lemon flavor for me. Otherwise, hubby enjoyed it, he said he could taste the lemon, so maybe it's just me.

Fry Bread Tacos II

These were great! I didn't have the beans, so we did without, but next time I'll be sure to add them, as I think it would have "held" the taco meat on the fry bread. I was having some trouble keeping the meat on the bread without it :-) We really enjoyed this, it was definitely a nice change of pace, however I think we might do this on recipe on a less frequent basis b/c of the heaviness of the bread and the frying. But we'll definitely keep this recipe for future use!

Apple Turnovers

I'm not quite sure I should be reviewing this recipe seeing how I cheated and used apple pie filling :-) However, before this recipe I wasn't even sure what type of dough to use, so I'll rate it based on that....these came out wonderfully. They look like they came from the bakery and tasted delicious!

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

This dish was wonderful!!! Hubby devoured two pieces of chicken! Made a couple of changes to the recipe..instead of parmesan cheese, I used grated cheddar cheese b/c that's all I had. I omitted the french onions b/c I didn't have them and I completely forgot to add the mustard, which I had intended to add but I managed to forget it. Even with my changes and my forgetfulness this dish came out great! This will be on regular rotation and hopefully next time I can remember to add the mustard and pick up some parmesan cheese at the store :-)

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

These are AMAZING!!! My family loved these! Nice alternative to cinnamon rolls, which my hubby doesnt like. He raved about these!! We will be making these regularly.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

This is awesome! I've done this several times now and I love it! I think I'll cook bacon like this from now on. I just stick it in my counter-top toaster oven at 400 degrees and let it cook away. Certainly beats getting splattered with the grease when frying it on the stove-top.

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Hubby and I didn't care for this dish too much but based more on our personal preferences than the dish itself. I gave it 4 stars anyway because the presentation is very nice, I followed the recipe, and the dish came out exactly as it was supposed to. Hubby and I just don't like stuffing much after all.

Mandarin Orange Chicken

Made this on Saturday, it was wonderful! I didn't have orange juice on hand, so I had to substitute apple juice. Came out great! Hubby loved and asked that it be put on regular rotation! He also requested that oranges be added at the end, which I agree, but that's just our personal preference.

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

This recipe is FANTASTIC!!! Hubby loved it and has requested it on regular rotation. We diced the chicken and cooked it on the stovetop. Instead of sour cream and green chili sauce, we used cream of chicken and salsa verde sauce b/c this was all we had in the pantry. We added diced jalepanos for spice and it turned out awesome!!! We will be making this again and again!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

My husband and I loved this recipe. I was kind of hesitant to try it b/c of the vinegar, I'm not a big fan of lime either. BUT it had just enough flavor to make it wonderful! My husband added more lime juice to his individual tacos, but raved about them. They are also great the next day too!
