I liked the taste. It was lightly sweetened, smooth and a hint airy with a strong enough dose of cream cheese. I felt it was fairly easy to make too. Initially, the frosting was grainy from the granulated sugar, but keeping it in the fridge for a day or two smoothed it right out. I was also told that the frosting was really soft when in room temp but really hard out of the fridge. (I only made and ate the frosting. Didn't frost it.) Here's a tip, if you can, whip the whipped cream while making the cream cheese mixture because it took a while for the whipped cream to whip. But keep an eye out for it! I would definitely make and eat this again.

This recipe was a disappointment for me. It was more work than worth it. Be forewarned, you are working with chocolate dough. It was an understatement to call it thick. Wheew. I worked up a muscle, and I didn't even use all the powdered sugar. The electric mixer was preoccupied. I would definitely use the mixer if I was to make a dough. Also, I wouldn't make this again next time. I love fudge on my ice cream but I guess I don't care for regular fudge you eat with your hands. It tasted like fudge but I just didn't care for the taste. Seemed too sweet for me, and, like I said above, I didn't even use all the powdered sugar. I guess I would just like it slightly darker and more chocolatey. I think I'll try to find another recipe on this site. I also gave it more credit because my friend liked it.

The guys especially love this recipe because it's so meaty. The flavor itself is very good. It does take quiet a while to make this and I have lots of meat sauce left over.
